Horseback Riding Camp: Session 4, July 29 – August 11
Riding camp friends are friends forever at Camp Sloane YMCA! Riding Camp is the most fun-filled English riding experience camp can provide! The riding campers get to know each other, and our horses, very well during the double-period riding session each morning. There will be special evening programs and an off-site trip to a horse show. The instruction delivered by our CHA-certified instructors will include detailed development of the campers’ riding ability as well as an introduction to barn and horse management, horse physiology and health.

Performing Arts Camp: Session 3, July 15 – July 28
Performing Arts campers experience every aspect of production and rehearsal as they put together an outsized production that is performed for our entire camp. The extended activity time in the morning and evening programs at night, give PA campers a real chance to excel at acting, dancing, singing, stagecraft, and fun! Performing Arts camp also travels to the Sharon Playhouse for a performance by our renowned local summer stock company.

Adventure Camp: Session 2, July 1 – July 14
Adventure camp is one of our most exciting, successful, and fun specialty camps! Adventure campers will experience a wide variety of outdoor sports and activities. Camp begins with the use of Camp Sloane YMCA’s extensive high ropes facilities, including our vertical playpen. Campers travel off-site to climb with AMGA-certified rock guides at the Shawangunks. The ‘Gunks, as they are known in the climbing world, contain some of the best climbing in the East. The next stop is at the Deerfield River for an afternoon of white water rafting. Most importantly, all of the Adventure Camp activities provide the opportunity to make friends for a lifetime through the adventure experience.

Water ski/Wakeboard camp: Session 2, July 1 – July 14, Session 3, July 15 – July 28. Session 4, July 29 - August 11
Generated by our strong tradition of high-quality water ski and wakeboard instruction, Camp Sloane YMCA is proud to offer a very limited number of openings in this exciting new program. Campers will participate in a double-period of skiing and wakeboard riding the first week of camp. Two days of that week include moving part of the period into the evening hours, with a night of camping and a clambake at our tent area near the water ski dock. That Saturday morning is spent on the water for a “breakfast ski”. In addition to water ski and wakeboard, campers will have ample opportunities to participate in our other activities at camp. This program is open only to two-week campers, as the second week provides adequate time to make up for uncooperative weather, should the need arise. Ski campers are also eligible to sign up for lessons during the second week of camp.
