Support Camp Sloane YMCA
Building Stronger Kids
Camp Sloane YMCA needs you now more than ever.
At Camp Sloane YMCA, one of our most important
goals has always been to enrich the lives of our campers. But when some
are left out, it leaves us all a bit poorer.
That's because giving kids a
safe and nurturing place to go benefits everyone. By introducing them
to experiences that will help them grow into responsible, successful
adults, we make the camp we love a better. One child at a time.
YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring,
honesty, responsibility and respect. Through a variety of fun and
rewarding activities, they also develop valuable skills while they gain
confidence and self-esteem. You simply can't put a price on
strengthening and enriching the character of a child.
Your contribution helps make it happen…for all campers.
Camp
fees do not cover all the costs to support these vital Camp Sloane
YMCA’s programs. To ensure that no one is denied a chance to
participate because of inability to pay, we truly need your help.
Through
our Strong Kids Campaign, your contribution helps us provide financial
assistance to campers who need it. Also, your gift makes camp great for
all campers by supporting facility improvements and purchasing summer
camp program equipment.Only by working together can we give more kids
the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body.
Big goals. To make a big difference!
This year's Strong Kids Campaign is launched with an ambitious goal of raising $40,000. We ask that you please give generously so that more kids and more families in our community can share the Camp Sloane YMCA experience.
Ways to help:
Strong Kids Campaign
Your donation to our annual Strong Kids campaign helps us provide financial assistance to campers that cannot afford a
Camp
Sloane experience. Your donation also helps us to keep camp affordable for everyone.
Planned giving
“
Others”
–That’s
the motto of Camp Sloane YMCA. A planned gift to the Camp Sloane YMCA
endowment ensures that others can continue to enjoy the life-changing

Bring a Friend to Camp
The greatest compliment received by Camp Sloane is the referral
of new campers by members of the "Camp Family" who have had positive
and meaningful experiences with us. This group represents the
overwhelming majority of each summer’s new campers. Thank you for your
trust! Remember, if you recruit a friend who attends resident camp for
at least a two-week session, you’ll get a 25% rebate for two weeks of
resident camp; recruit two friends and you’ll get a 50% rebate for
two weeks of resident camp and if you recruit three or more friends
we’ll give you a 75% rebate on a two-week session of camp. This rebate can be combined with a sibling rebate!
Restrictions:
Recruited friend must be a new camper to Camp Sloane. Recruited friend cannot be your own sibling. Recruited camper and recruiting camper must list each other in the appropriate space on the application. This must be done prior to attending camp. The Bring a Friend to Camp rebates are available only to returning Camp Sloane campers.
Be a Sloane Ambassador
We’d like you to join our Ambassador corps? Camp is just more fun
when your friends can attend. If you are having trouble telling your
friends about Camp Sloane and you just can’t seem to put all that fun
and excitement into words, then let us do it for you!
We
are actively seeking camper families to host camp informational
meetings at their homes. All you need to do is recruit some of your
friends, bring them to your house and we’ll do the rest. Kids, just for
helping us out with our camper recruiting drive, we’ll give you a $15
coupon for your camp store account for this coming summer. Call us at
(800) 545-9367 or email
scd@campsloane.org to set up a home visit – we’ll bring the snacks!
Staff Referrals
One of the greatest challenges in recent years has been to find qualified staff in adequate numbers. Counselors, Activity Heads, Section Heads, instructors and program specialist, and Registered Nurses continue to be needed for the day camp and resident camps each summer. Outdoor and adventure education and environmental education instructors are needed during the school year for Education & Training programs. Staff applications can be downloaded from the web site or requested directly.
Volunteers
There are multiple ways to become involved as a volunteer. Alumni volunteers will find a
meaningful and enjoyable role as a member of the Alumni Council,
planning reunions and other important and fun events for alumni. The
Board of Directors seeks individuals with a variety of expertise and
interests to serve as policy volunteers. Program volunteers can become
involved in summer or year-round activities. Click here to contact us
